Environmental Protection
Environmental protection and remediation of existing problems is an enormous Earth Science field – the Russia, Central Asia and China region is in part very pristine, and in part severely challenged with seriously difficult waste problems to solve. These problems include fertilizers, toxic wastes, nuclear wastes, people and agriculture waste, and industrial pollution of groundwater and surface water of these countries. Using efforts like the US Superfund sites and biological tools for remediation, much can be done via GLORIAD to share technologies and procedures that can help solve apparently unsolvable environmental problems.
