Welcome to the July 2007 issue of "GLORIAD Update." The focus of this issue is innovation in technology, performance measurement and usability. We report on our growing applications and building partnerships with new end-users.
We've included our usual sections: Two pages of News Bytes for the latest GLORIAD-US advancements and participation around the international R&E community; our Featured Partner this month is GLORIAD-China; Feature stories are on recent U.S.-Russia successes using lightpath technology for transferring huge SDSS data and Innovations in Performance Measurement and Serving End-Users. With this issue we also welcome two new GLORIAD-US team members, introduce a new section on Digital Hybrid Disciplines, and continue with GLORIAD Kids -- highlighting a youth educational activity in the international collaborative project "Extremophiles in Kamchatka." And we again include our 2007 program plan for easy reference to this year's goals and objectives.
