Mobile Grid
Mobile grid is to combine Grid system and mobile system to build a Grid system in mobile environment. And it shares both advantages of powerful computation capability of Grid system and ubiquitous accessibility of mobile system. So, we are studying the requirements of the mobile grid system and designing the system architecture based on mobile agent technologies.Many kinds of mobile and wireless networks can be used for mobile grid. To design and implement mobile grid system, we decided to use wireless LAN as network and PDA’s as mobile devices, and to extend the system to high speed portable Internet. The number and processing power of mobile devices are rapidly increasing. So the mobile grid system which we are implementing is resource-sharing system using mobile agent technologies (ref. below figure).

In the near future, we are planning to integrate the ubiquitous networking technologies and mobile grid system, and to broaden the research areas to wireless sensor networking technologies
